My Goals for the Rest of 2026

The second half of 2026 feels like a fresh start for me.

Lately, I have been thinking a lot about where I am in life and where I want to go next. Sometimes we get so busy with work and everyday responsibilities that we forget to focus on ourselves. This year, I want to change that.

One of my biggest goals is improving my health.

Three years ago, I was in the best shape I had been in for a long time. I trained hard, attended boxing classes and spent a lot of time doing strength training. I felt stronger, healthier and more confident. Looking back, I realize how much those healthy habits positively influenced my life.

Unfortunately, when I stopped training regularly, things slowly changed. Over the past three years, I gained weight and became less active. It didn't happen overnight, but little by little I moved away from the lifestyle that once made me feel so good.

That is why I have decided that now is the time to make a change.

My goal is not just to lose weight. I want to become stronger again. I want to feel healthy, energetic and confident. Most importantly, I want to build habits that I can maintain for the long term.

Another important goal is growing Miss La Diva again.

Writing has always been one of my biggest passions. This blog has been part of my life for many years, and after writing more than 443 articles, I have decided that it is time to start a new chapter. I want to continue sharing my experiences, my thoughts and my journey with anyone who enjoys following along.

I am also looking forward to something very special later this year.

In October, I will be spending two months in Morocco. Although I am half Dutch and half Hindustani, Morocco has become a very important part of my life. I will be spending time with my husband's family. They may not be my family by blood, but they truly feel like family to me.

I am looking forward to spending time with them, creating new memories and experiencing daily life in a different environment. I know this trip will be full of stories, lessons and moments that I will want to share here on the blog.

Another goal for the rest of 2026 is to enjoy life more.

Sometimes we become so focused on what we still need to achieve that we forget to appreciate what we already have. I want to make more time for simple things: a walk in the park, a good conversation, a quiet morning with a cup of coffee, or simply taking a moment to be grateful.

As I look ahead to the rest of the year, I feel hopeful.

I know that not everything will go according to plan, and that is okay. What matters most is that I keep moving forward, one step at a time.

For the rest of 2026, my goals are simple: become healthier, continue writing, enjoy my journey and create beautiful memories along the way.

Love,

Shavida
