Return of a cremated cat to its owner:

We assumed he was no longer alive.

When their cat Frankie, whom they had just cremated, reappeared in the sitting room, a British family received the shock of their lives. The owner explained, "We cremated someone else's pet."

Since May 19, Frankie had been missing. So the cat's British owner imagined it was her pet when she saw a similar male on the roadway a few days later. According to the British public broadcaster BBC, she cremated the animal and brought its remains home. "We cremated someone else's cat," the woman admits, her face flushed with embarrassment.

So it came as a shock when Frankie reappeared in the living room, alive and healthy. "He was weak and hungry, but he was still alive," the owner explained. Remy, Remy's 7-year-old son, describes it as a miracle: "We believed he was dead."
