Granddaughter lies to grandmother for 13 years, claiming her mother is still alive.

One woman felt obligated to deceive her grandmother, even paying someone to do so on her behalf.

This was only done by the Chinese woman to keep the old woman from dying of grief.

Cheng Jing (46) recently lost her grandmother, who died at the age of 100, but she spent the final 13 years of her life trying to persuade her grandmother that her daughter was still alive.

Her mother died in 2003, but she paid someone to simulate her mother's voice over the phone during chats with her grandmother since she knew the news would break her grandmother's heart, according to Oddity Central.
