Mystery: Blue snow falls in Russia



The inhabitants of St. Petersburg are worried. Since a few days there is a lot of blue snow in the city. It is feared that there are toxic substances in the air that cause the blue color. According to experts, it would be related to the demolition of a pharmaceutical research institute in the city. The blue snow is possible because methylene blue or cobalt is released. This dye is used in some medical treatments. Whether this is actually the cause is still being investigated. It is not the first time that blue snow falls in Russia. In 2015 it also happened in the city of Chelyabinsk. Then it came through a dye in Easter eggs, which had ended up in a ventilation system of a factory.

For the second time in history, scientists are transmitting communications to extraterrestrials.

NASA scientists hope to communicate with extraterrestrials. They've drafted a message that they want to launch into space soon. That message is more than a simple 'hi, how are you?' The goal is to give the aliens as much knowledge about our civilization as possible.
