For those who love flowers, tulips in particular, we have very good news: on Saturday, January 20, you can come and pick tulips for free on Dam Square in the capital of Amsterdam. Picking has now become a tradition with which the tulip season is ushered in. Who at the Dam only think of bricks and a grand palace may now fantasize 200,000 tulips, because so many will be there. Of course in different colors, because that is so cheerful. On the Facebook page of National Tulip Day 2018 you can read from what time to what time you can pick up your heart: "From 13.00 hours everyone can pick a bunch of tulips for free. It is expected that the Dam will be completely 'emptied' around 4 pm. For the second time in history, scientists are transmitting communications to extraterrestrials.

NASA scientists hope to communicate with extraterrestrials. They've drafted a message that they want to launch into space soon. That message is more than a simple 'hi, how are you?' The goal is to give the aliens as much knowledge about our civilization as possible.
