Fossil of more than one hundred million years old dinosaur found in Australia

Scientists have found a fossil of the diluvicursor pickeringi at the Strait Bass near Australia, the water between the mainland and Tasmania. That is a dinosaur that ran around 113 million years ago in Australia. The animal had two legs, the shape of a turkey and lived on plants. The diluvic sensor could be 2.3 meters long. The fossil specimen was found in the bed of a large, old and parched river. According to palaeontologists at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, these kinds of finds are unique because skeletons of dinosaurs are very rarely found in Australia. The diluvicursor pickeringi lived peacefully next to meat eaters that were three times its length and the flying reptile pterosaur, the largest flying animal that ever lived on the earth. Dilivac Cursor means high speed racer and pickeringi is a tribute to the famous paleontologist David Pickering.
