Dutch sugar syrup gets European recognition

Sugar syrup, an important ingredient of typically Dutch products such as the Groningen gingerbread or Limburgse zoervleish, now goes on with European recognition. Brussels added the sweet good today one of its three special quality registers. By awarding the protected traditional specialty trademark, consumers know that it is a quality product and that it comes from a traditional method of preparation. The Commission uses its hallmarks to promote high-quality regional or country-specific European products. There are already hundreds of them. According to the Commission itself, the youngest acquisition from the Netherlands is actually a residual product, because sugar syrup is the good that remains in the production of beet or cane sugar. It tastes sweet, thanks to its still very high sugar content (at least 70 percent), but also slightly salty due to the minerals and other ingredients from the beet or sugar cane.

If you want to buy the sugar syrup then you can go here. holland for you. For the real dutch sugar syrup.
