With the inside of the Christmas tree you immediately get a lot of insects inside the house reports the AFP. Researchers who looked at the number and types of insects that occur in Christmas trees found no less than 25,000 specimens in some trees. Varying from lice to moths and from mite to spider, report Bjarte Jordal from the University of Bergen, Norway. Jordal adds that the animals will probably not last long in your living room. Jordal: 'The insects will not be able to feed properly because there are few other plants in the house. They will therefore quickly dry out and die. "According to Jordal, the insects also pose no danger to furniture or health.
