These are the 13 countries with the highest life expectancy

You would almost think that both the Japanese and the Mediterranean diet really make you grow older. The four countries with the highest life expectancy in the world are Hong Kong, Japan, Italy and Spain, according to new data from the World Economic Forum. The top of the list is only occupied by European and Asian countries. The expected age in Africa is the lowest. Swaziland Africa is at the bottom with an average age of 48.9 years. 

In these thirteen countries, the population is the oldest: 


  1. Hong Kong - 84.3 years
  2. Japan - 83.8 years
  3. Italy - 83.5 years 
  4. Spain - 83.4 years
  5. Switzerland - 83.2 years
  6. Iceland - 82.9 years
  7. France - 82.7 years
  8. Sweden - 82.6 years
  9. Singapore - 82.6 years
  10. Australia - 82.5 years
  11. Luxembourg - 82.2 years
  12. South Korea 82.2 years
  13. Israel - 82.1 years
