The popular messaging app WhatsApp exists next month for eight years and has more than 1 billion users since this year. To ensure the security and stability of the messaging service for everyone in the future, the company announces that the app will no longer work on a number of devices from 1 January. From 1 January 2018 WhatsApp will no longer work on devices with the operating system Blackberry OS or Blackberry 10 installed, let the company know in an update on a blog post. Users with Windows Phone 8.0 or older will no longer be able to exchange messages from New Year. There are also plans to stop support for users with a Nokia S40 from 1 January 2019 and for WhatsApp users with Android 2.3.7 or older from 2 February 2020.
