Airplane draws Christmas tree over Germany
The cockpit crew of an Airbus crew is already pretty in Christmas mood. At the moment they 'draw' during a test flight with an A380 the silhouette of a huge Christmas tree including Christmas balls above Germany, as can be seen on Flightradar24. The aircraft destined for Emirates took off at 12.47 from the Airbus airport Hamburg Finkenwerder. The Christmas tree route runs in a south-westerly direction, including Cologne.
The southernmost point of the Christmas tree is just above Stuttgart. Meanwhile, the A380 is heading north again towards the 'peak'. It is more common that pilots make a sport of drawing special silhouettes with their aircraft. A Boeing crew made a figure flight earlier this year in the form of a Boeing 787 over the US.
