family makes a world trip for 17 years

It all started with the idea to travel in their old car from Buenos Aires to Alaska. Seventeen years later the Argentine Candelaria and Herman Zapp still not home. They are now 300,000 kilometers and have seen 75 countries. Meanwhile, the car has become quite full with four children aged between seven and seventeen. "They play with children from around the world, from the Amazon to Africa and China, they eat everything, they learn different habits. They get a better education than ever "Herman Zapp says to the AD (Dutch digital news site).  

 They have seen all continents and are now working on the last stage Europe. Begun in Istanbul they drove through the North Cape to Italy. Now they have arrived in Spain. Now they have become famous. "In Rome we met the Pope, here in Barcelona Messi." Across the world they meet thousands helpful, nice people. Overseas trips were spontaneously offered and also shelter or temporary work was always to be found.

The large family will soon have to travel via the Netherlands to England and then sail back to Argentina. "We have now seen the world then there is nothing more.

For three days the Amsterdam World Fashion Centre was dedicated to African culture and fashion. For the second time in history, scientists are transmitting communications to extraterrestrials.

NASA scientists hope to communicate with extraterrestrials. They've drafted a message that they want to launch into space soon. That message is more than a simple 'hi, how are you?' The goal is to give the aliens as much knowledge about our civilization as possible.
