Stray American family is rescued just in time of dark forest




An American family was trapped in a dark and icy forest. They were saved in the nick of time. The local sheriff likes to call it a "Christmas miracle."

The father, mother and their ten year old son wanted to go to the north rim of the Grand Canyon in Arizona, but was closed in the normal way. Then they decided to take an alternative route, who stood on Google Maps. And then the trouble started. The road was impassable and the car got stuck. So deep in the forest, there was no mobile range. It was too cold to wait so decided the mother, who is marathon runner and triathlete, to seek help.

She walked 41 kilometers through the forest, and she could not continue her journey and was looking for shelter in a cottage. Meanwhile, father and son were on a hill. As well they managed to reach emergency services. They were quite hypothermic and taken to hospital. The mother was only discovered the next morning, because rescuers could follow her footsteps. 
She turned heavily depleted and barely survived the grueling journey. Sheriff Jim Driscoll explains to ABC News: "We began to lose hope. Especially with the snow storm that was coming. If the woman had not been in such good condition, they did not make it. "

For the second time in history, scientists are transmitting communications to extraterrestrials.

NASA scientists hope to communicate with extraterrestrials. They've drafted a message that they want to launch into space soon. That message is more than a simple 'hi, how are you?' The goal is to give the aliens as much knowledge about our civilization as possible.
