Bumblebees are happy and active from eating sugar


Bumblebees appear to be happy eating sugar, according to a new study.
They show after drinking sugar water more optimism when taking decisions. That reports British scientists in Science.
The behavior of bumblebees who drank sugar water, changed almost immediately. They began to fly faster toward a second bowl of water, while the other drones continued to fly a low rate that had not been drinking the sugar water.
After a period of captivity they search much faster for search for food. According to research Luigi Baciadonne shows the experiment that the emotional state of bumblebees is changing under the influence of sugar.
He compares the behavior with the behavior that occurs in people after eating, for example, a bar of chocolate. "If people eat sweet foods, they improve their mood" he declares in The Telegraph. Our results suggest that a similar process takes place in the brains of bees. "
