Ironman from Indonesia

The Indonesian Wayan Sumardana, who was paralyzed last year on his left arm, made his own prosthesis. The arm is controlled by his brains, Russia Today reports based on reports in the Indonesian media.

The 31-year-old resident of a village on the island of Bali was hit six months ago by a stroke, his left arm was disabled. The father of three children decided not to sit down but made of scrap iron and scrap metal parts his own "bionic arm" so that he could continue his work as a welder.

The arm is controlled with the help of electrodes to Wayans head. The welder used the technical knowledge he had gained during his training, complemented with information he found on the internet.
