The Selfie Cat


Many people like to take selfies, Manny the cat loves it. The cat is with his selfies a true internet hit. "He figured out one day how he can control a GoPro camera while I hold him," says his owner. His Instagramaccount is completely filled with snapshots of the cat.

"He is the master of the dogs," says the animal lover against Love Meow cat-appearing in different selfies with a group of dogs. The man stumbled by chance on Manny, a stray cat suddenly appeared after his cat was deceased. Since then Manny and the dogs and he goes anywhere: the animals and the owner visit wonderful places in the United States. This provides both special and funny pictures.

Last year,  last weekend of August, a new event  started  in the Netherlands: Africa Fashion Week Amsterdam. For three days the Amsterdam World Fashion Centre was dedicated to African culture and fashion. For the second time in history, scientists are transmitting communications to extraterrestrials.

NASA scientists hope to communicate with extraterrestrials. They've drafted a message that they want to launch into space soon. That message is more than a simple 'hi, how are you?' The goal is to give the aliens as much knowledge about our civilization as possible. "The message incorporates basic mathematical and physical ideas to construct a universal means of communication, followed by information regarding the biochemical makeup of life on Earth," said Jonathan Jiang, the primary author. The so-called Beacon In The Galaxy (BITG) is written in binary code and concludes with a digital image of a man and a woman, as well as an invitation to reply.
