Grammy for Dutchman DJ Tiësto


"Super, unbelievable." These were the first words of the DJ Tiësto after it was known that he had won a Grammy Sunday night. The Dutchman won 'the most important music award in the world' with his remix of John Legends Hit All Of Me. Tijs Verwest, as DJ Tiësto his name is, won the prize for Best Remix Recording. The DJ told that John Legend was one of the first to congratulate him by phone text message with its price.

Last year,  last weekend of August, a new event  started  in the Netherlands: Africa Fashion Week Amsterdam. For three days the Amsterdam World Fashion Centre was dedicated to African culture and fashion. For the second time in history, scientists are transmitting communications to extraterrestrials.

NASA scientists hope to communicate with extraterrestrials. They've drafted a message that they want to launch into space soon. That message is more than a simple 'hi, how are you?' The goal is to give the aliens as much knowledge about our civilization as possible. "The message incorporates basic mathematical and physical ideas to construct a universal means of communication, followed by information regarding the biochemical makeup of life on Earth," said Jonathan Jiang, the primary author.
